The Supreme Court of Virginia has extended the declaration of judicial emergency through October 11, 2020. This continues the emergency provisions initiated on March 16, 2020 following Governor Northam's executive order declaring a state of emergency because of COVID-19.

The orders contain many extremely complicated details, however, it is important to know that the Court system is operational. Many matters have been delayed due to this ongoing declared emergency. There are specific details that may impact your matter and I am aware of a great deal of incorrect information floating around. You can review the orders directly from the Supreme Court.
